FRIENDS AND FAMILY turned out yesterday to pay their respects and show support for the family of Lamar Devere Carter, whose death earlier this month has led to three people being charged with murder.

Family members of the former Spring Farm, St Thomas resident said they were still experiencing lots of pain and that it “was not good at all” for them since the tragedy.

“It has been hard,” said one of his relatives. “This is the first time I have been through anything like this and I would not wish it upon my worst enemy.”

The three suspects – Fidel Nkomo Alleyne, his brother Javed Riad Alleyne, and Malissa Carla Griffith – appeared in the District “D” Magistrates’ Court last week and were formally charged in connection with the murder of Carter, who was 22. They were remanded to Dodds Prison until March 5.

Carter, a mechanic, was allegedly shot and suffered other injuries. His body was found in the rear of a car after police had chased a vehicle. (JS)
