SOUTHAMPTON, England (AP) – Liverpool moved two points off the top four in the English Premier League football competition with a 2-0 win at Southampton on Sunday, while Tottenham fought back for a 2-2 draw with West Ham.

A brilliant long-range strike from Philippe Coutinho put Liverpool ahead after three minutes.

Raheem Sterling secured the win in the 73rd, lashing in from the edge of the area after Matt Targett failed to clear Alberto Moreno’s cross.

Harry Kane rescued Tottenham with a last-minute goal after Cheikhou Kouyate and Diafra Sakho had put West Ham 2-0 ahead at White Hart Lane.

Danny Rose scored for Tottenham in the 81st, before Kane won a penalty, saw it saved but converted the rebound with the game’s last kick.

Elsewhere, Everton were held 2-2 at home to bottom club Leicester.
