Mum out of options

ANDERSON GRAHAM looks like a healthy and thriving five-year-old one day and by the next he is bloated and swollen almost beyond recognition.

He has nephrotic syndrome, a kidney disorder that causes his body to retain water and his stomach to bloat.

In spite of his illness, Anderson is ever smiling, always in good spirits and playful.

His mother, 23-year-old Kara Graham, said she had a normal pregnancy and Anderson was okay into his first year.

But in August 2011, he started to experience severe stomach pains and his body started retaining fluid, which was particularly visible around his eyes.
