THE CULMINATION OF last year’s Forever I Do competition occurred on the last day of February 2015 when winners Damien Jamal Chassang and Vanessa Corinne Branch exchanged vows at Mahogany Ridge, Plum Tree Road, St James.
The afternoon drizzles pushed back the start of the wedding, but the gaily attired friends, family and guests waited patiently to see the bride-to-be walk down the aisle on the arm of her dad Winston Branch.
The couple was exhorted by Reverend David Holder, of the Nazarene Church, to love and honour each other and forsake all others.
The theme of the wedding was Butterflies, the bride told EASY before leaving for their honeymoon cruise.
“It was all girly . . . . Pink, oranges and green.”
The bridal party consisted of six bridesmaids along with maid of honour Alyssha McClean and six groomsmen, along with best man Christopher Skeete. There were five flower girls and one ring bearer. Also there was Vanessa’s mum Angela Branch and the groom’s mother, Rhonda Chassang.
Damien and Vanessa had outshone four other couples to take the $30 000 prize of a wedding of their dreams.
Vanessa said she will now be known as Mrs Vanessa Chassang.
