In the 32 matches to Australia’s victory over Sri Lanka at the Sydney Cricket Ground yesterday (in which both teams amassed over 300), there were 18 scores over 300, three over 400. Not all were by the giants over the lilluptians.
Chris Gayle hammered 16 sixes against Zimbabwe in his 215, both record numbers in the 11 World Cup tournaments.
