POLICE ARE APPEALING to the public for assistance with investigations into Saturday’s shooting of a nine-year-old boy.
The boy was walking along Swan Street, The City with his family when he suddenly clutched his head. His injury was identified as gunshot wound when he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The NATION understands that police investigations have shown there was no explosion in the immediate area of Swan Street. It is believed the boy was struck by a stray bullet from elsewhere.
The bullet is reportedly being analysed by police.
