Points rain for Purple

SO NICE THEY DID IT TWICE.

Purple House repeated as champions of the Grantley Adams Memorial inter-house track and field championships at the National Stadium yesterday.

They sprinted away from the rest of the pack with 862 points, leaving ambitious Blue in second spot with 789, Green, 702, Red, 642 and Yellow, 413.

Affectionately called The Tigers, Purple tore into their rivals with some stellar performances.

They were involved in the race of the day when Steffany Polius and Nagieya Cummins dead-heated in the Under-17 Girls 100 metres in 14.04 seconds.

The screams and applause lasted a lot longer as this show stopper had everyone on their feet. Polius had no company in taking the 200 and 400 metres with quite a bit to spare in the tank.
