TWO OLD LEGAL COLLEAGUES have been engaged in a ding dong battle of words, and at the centre of their dispute is a woman.
One of the men holds a high legal office overseas while the other holds a high legal office here.
Apparently the dispute has arisen over the woman, who the legal eagle in Barbados is dating and who is always at his side wherever he goes.
The other legal eagle, who still has a home and business interest here and is always in and out of the island, apparently showed some of his male friends several text messages from this woman on his phone professing that she still loves him, even though she is involved with the other man.
It has led to a war of words with both of the men calling each other disparaging names.
Since they move in the same circles friends are appalled that they have allowed this woman to get between their friendship of many years. They both went to law school together.
Friends want to know who will bring the gavel down on this dispute, especially given that both men are also married. They also want to know if the woman who is caught up in the middle intends to do anything about it, after all, her job dictates that she upholds law and order.
Case of the missing worker
WORKERS IN A SECTION of Government want to know how one of their colleagues hardly turns up for work, yet takes home a salary every month.
Not only that, they have proof that she also works for a private company.
Her constant excuse is that she has a problem with her feet, but workers would like to know how this could be so when she lives in a two-storey house and has lots of stairs to climb.
In addition, staff can’t concentrate on doing their jobs because they are always fielding calls from numerous business places which are trying to locate her.
It has reached the point where some have even said they would have to get bailiffs to track her down.
Some employees have also started staying away from work saying what’s good for the goose is also good for the gander. They are saying that it is so easy to stay away from work and still get a full month’s salary and vacation pay.
Cry for help
A WOMAN HAS SENT out an SOS on social media.
She claims she is being harassed by a well known woman who has the reputation of being a rich bully.
It appears that since she fired the woman’s niece she has now become the target of threats and verbal abuse.
The poor woman has made reports to the police, but that has not worked and she is seriously in fear for her life.
