Jamaican drug smuggler gets jail time

JAMAICAN JENNIFER TAYLOR will be spending 18 months in prison after she pleaded guilty to four drug charges in the District “B” Magistrates’ Court today.

Taylor arrived from Jamaica yesterday and police say a search of her luggage revealed a cooler containing two pounds of cannabis.

She faced was sentenced to prison on charges of trafficking, possession and importation and convicted, reprimanded and discharged on the charge of possession with intent to supply. (PR/NB)
