Police capture suspected sea egg poacher

A MAN was apprehended by law enforcement officials during a joint sea egg operation earlier today.

Police reported that an operation by the Marine Unit and Barbados Coast Guard targeted a number of men who had allegedly been poaching the urchins along Cove Bay, St Lucy.

As a result, a suspect has been taken into custody and a quantity of sea eggs seized.

The NATION understands the other men fled and a search was underway for them. (CA)
