THE MAN APPREHENDED by police yesterday during a sea egg operation at Cove Bay, St Lucy is expected to appear in court today.
He is 61-year-old Stephen Hurley of Boscobelle, St Peter who has been charged with the offence of possession of sea eggs during the closed season.
According to police, members of the Marine Unit and Barbados Coast Guard responded to a report of suspicious activity yesterday.
Several men were seen and one man was held while the others escaped. A total of 220 sea eggs were seized.
Hurley is to appear at the District E/Holetown Magistrates Court. (PR/NB)
