THREE MEN, including a former police officer, were yesterday remanded to HMP Dodds on indictable charges involving nearly $2 million in drugs – cannabis and cocaine – following a drug bust last Monday.

The three, whose battery of attorneys made strong submissions for bail, are former policeman David Leroy Cumberbatch of 158 Venus Drive, Wotton Terrace, Christ Church; 60-year-old farmer Neville O’Neal Cumberbatch of Suttle Street, Bridgetown; and Mikhael Sealy, a 26-year-old boat crewman of No. 50 Skeetes Road, Ivy, St Michael.

They appeared before Chief Magistrate Pamela Beckles charged with possession, trafficking, intent to supply and importing 31.9 kilos of cocaine with a street value of $1.595 million as well as 56 kg of cannabis worth $224 000.

Each was remanded until April 16. (Coastline Communication)
