TWENTY-EIGHT passengers escaped serious injury when a Government bus and private minibus were involved in an accident at Road View, St Peter, yesterday morning.
Twenty were treated and discharged at the scene, five taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) and three to the Maurice Byer Polyclinic.
The Transport Board bus (BM 546) was driven by 51-year-old Trevor Greene and the minibus (B192) driven by Wayne Harris, 46 of Padmore Village, St Thomas.
Four doctors and two nurses from the QEH responded along with units from the Barbados Defence Force, the District Emergency Organisation, the Barbados Fire Service and eight ambulances, two of which were from the Defence Force. (RL)
