THE CARIBBEAN EXAMINATION COUNCIL (CXC) will be getting more than the required samples for the School Based Assessments (SBAs) this year.

It would be the full set of projects from every school in Barbados if the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU) and the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) get their way.

That was the instruction given to teachers who attended a meeting at Solidarity House yesterday, which was open to teachers from both unions who are affected by SBAs.

“When those SBAs are handed in, we will collect them. We will make a list of all the persons that have handed in their SBAs. You will keep a copy of that list and you will hand in all of the SBAs and that list to your heads of department to be passed on to the principals of the schools. . . .This year the sample will consist of a full sample,” Redman said.
