THE ROYAL Barbados Police Force is reporting a breakthrough into some of the recent reports of aggravated burglaries being committed.
Two men are currently assisting with these investigations.
There have been several burglaries committed across various neighbourhoods in Barbados which appear to target older members of the community.
Police had issued a warning to residents, urging them to be vigilant.
“There are reports engaging our attention where unidentified persons have been approaching residences pretending to be workers from various organisations, and using other various pretences in a bid to gain access and commit theft.
“We are therefore appealing to the public to be mindful of the situation and to immediately inform the police of any strangers and/or strange vehicles moving around their community and/or any suspicious activity,” they said in a statement. (PR/SAT)
