OPPOSITION LEADER Mia Mottley has again issued a call to action to her Barbados Labour Party (BLP) “family”.

Mottley was speaking yesterday at the BLP’s Founders’ Day Service to mark 77 years at the Holy Innocents Anglican Church, St Thomas.

She reminded those on hand that she had first issued the call two years ago, and at that time it was not simply to be the alternative, but “to be the answer”.

“Two years later, today, I stand at this church of Holy Innocents sharing a similar history. . . . We share a common birth. We come to the people of St Thomas to rededicate ourselves to report progress. That we are marching on to Zion. And we do so today cognisant that it is not a single step, but it is a process. And in that process we are on the right road, doing the right things.   “We may not have yet reached perfection, but we are going in the right direction, with the right members and with the right motive,” Mottley told her responsive audience.
