St Barnabas edge out Rangers

PINE HILL ST BARNABAS versus C.O. Williams Rangers is still the biggest catfight in local netball.

Their Little League Gym senior knockout quarter-final on Monday night at the Netball Stadium was supposed to reflect this and it did, but only intermittently.

Eventually, St Barnabas prevailed 33-30 to book a spot in the semi-finals.

Neither played in the first quarter with the customary intensity that has highlighted past duels and the encounter looked rather pedestrian and tame.

The deligent defending of Shonnette Bruce was a highlight at that point as St Barnabas were ahead 7-4 at the end of the quarter.
