Woman on drug charges

A ST PHILIP woman has been arrested and charged with a number of drug offences.

She is 51-year-old Jacqueline Delores Gibson of Lucas Street.

According to police, she went to clear a package at the cargo section of the airport on Wednesday and an inspection was carried out by Customs officials.

The search reportedly revealed 11.4 pounds of cannabis hidden in a pallet in 14 packages.

Gibson was expected to appear in the District “B” Magistrates’ Court today to face charges of possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation. (PR/NB)
