SOME LICENCE PLATE makers agree that protocols should govern how they operate.
Jeffrey Harewood, managing director of Supreme Signs, said he was in agreement with suggestions from Minister of Transport and Works Michael Lashley, who said vehicle owners who wanted licence plates should present documentation and manufacturers who did not ask for them should face consequences.
“It is time for licence plate producers to line up themselves with the law and if it was necessary for the hammer to come down, then it should,” Harewood said.
He was among 30 licence plate suppliers who attended the meeting with the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) officialsat the MTW Pavilion, The Pine, on Friday. (LK)
