A MAN WHO WAS DECLARED WANTED by police last weekend and deemed armed and dangerous is saying he has been laid up in bed for weeks.

Shiamar Callender, 29, of St James, hobbled into the Nation’s offices yesterday morning on a pair of crutches accompanied by his mother, father and girlfriend, after seeing a notice in Saturday’s newspaper that he was wanted by the police. shiamar-callender

Callender said he was shocked when he saw the notice because for the past two months he had been dealing with two orthopaedic injuries, which had rendered him unable to walk, and furthermore, the police knew where he lived and every block he limed on.
