AN UNEMPLOYED 20-year-old has been remanded until May 22 after a serious bodily harm charge against him was upgraded to murder.

Raheem Ricardo O’neil Hinds of Phillip’s Road, Pinelands, St Michael, has been charged in relation to the death of 50-year-old Michael Yearwood of Hilltop, Pinelands.

On 12 March, both men were reportedly involved in an altercation at Princess Royal Avenue. Yearwood was apparently struck in his head with an object and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by private vehicle.

Yearwood was hospitalised, then released. Sometime later he was again hospitalised and subsequently died at the QEH.

Hinds was remanded when he appeared at the District A Magistrates Court today. (CC/SAT)
