‘I thought I was going to die’

CHANIQUE MORRIS thought she was going to die.

The public relations/marketing/accounts officer for Boyceterous Catamaran Cruises was on board when their lone vessel capsized early yesterday morning and was subsequently destroyed on the rocks at Trevor’s Way, off the Princess Alice Highway, The City.

In an interview yesterday afternoon, the shaken young woman recounted how she thought she was never going to see home again. chanique-morris

“On weekends I work private charters and this was one of the cruises I personally organised. The cruise was going on as usual, then I realised I couldn’t hear the engines anymore. So I spoke to the captain who told me there was an engine failure.”  (CA)
