TWO MEN, including a Barbadian businessman, are scheduled to appear in the District B Magistrates Court today on separate drug charges.

Barbadian Philip Peter Joseph Decle, 64, of Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church, has been charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

On Sunday, Delce was interviewed by member of the Drug Squad after his arrival at the Grantley Adams International Airport around 6:35 a.m.

A search by Customs officials revealed two taped packages containing 0.8 kilos of cocaine concealed in the black tights he was wearing under his jeans.

Meanwhile, Jamaican Kevon Anthony Higgins was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of the substance.

The 28-year-old labourer arrived in Barbados by air on April 19 and was questioned by police after clearing immigration. He was referred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he passed out 178 packages containing cannabis which he had ingested. It weight approximately one pound.  (PR/SAT)
