THE RECENT AGREEMENT between the Freundel Stuart administration and BHP Billiton Pretroleum for oil exploration off the island has been described as “a platform to explore the frontiers of a new form of development in Barbados”.

The event attended by a phalanx of Cabinet members, senior private and public sector personnel and representatives from Billiton, including McCormack, heard Sinckler praise the initiative as an “historic event”.
