ENGLAND lost in Barbados but hundreds of visiting English cricket fans have been winning moments to treasure with West Indies legend, Sir Garfied Sobers.

During the past week, more than 120 lucky English visitors got the opportunity to meet and greet Sir Garry during a special function at the SeaBreeze Hotel.

The visitors, all guests of the south coast all-inclusive family resort, came to Barbados for the third Test match at Kensington Oval. They enjoyed the event and many also used the occasion to jog the memory of the island’s only living National Hero.

Questions and comments took him back to exciting and sometimes challenging moments in his stellar cricketing career. (BB)
