Marhill Street parking worry

FRESH NO-PARKING signs in Marhill Street, The City, yesterday created a lot of discussion among people who ply their trade there.

Manager of Pilgrim’s Shoe Shop, Jesse Payne, said businesses were never informed about the change, prior to it coming into effect. Parking close to the business is no longer an option, but that is the least of his concerns.

“It’s going to end up with vendors all the way down the street,” he said.

One vendor is set up just outside the shop door, and Payne said it is partially restricting a smooth entrance into the store.
