School boycott

SECONDARY SCHOOLS have pulled stumps on the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA).

The 2015 BCA season is set to bowl off in controversial circumstances today after the Barbados Association of Principals of Public Secondary Schools (BAPPSS) yesterday informed the local governing cricket body that school teams would not be taking to the grounds.

SATURDAY SUN investigations revealed that the schools were unhappy with a new BCA rule which they contend puts them at a disadvantage.

It emerged that the BCA instituted a rule which said if a player from a school team was selected to represent the Barbados Youth team in the top BCA competitions but the player instead opted to play for his school, all points gained by that school would be forfeited.
