Mum of two evicted from rented home

CAROL-ANN Waithe and all her belongings were left to the elements yesterday after she was evicted from the place she called home for the past six years.

While at work, the mother of two – a seven- and eight-year-old – got the news that marshals and her landlord had moved into the Chepton Lane, Pinelands, St Michael house and put her belongings at the roadside.

Waithe acknowledged she had stopped paying the $120 a week rent, but said this was because the landlord did not effect repairs to the house. She added she no immediate shelter in sight.
