DEAR CHRISTINE: Why is my lover walking out on me?

Dear Christine,

IT WAS MY BURNING AMBITION to write wishing you could give me some help, just like you have given thousands of other people.

First, I was in love with a girl for about three years and she just walked out. That girl is a happily married woman now. After months of sitting and studying that one, I decided to get a new one.

Well, a few months ago she asked me for money. I told her I did not have the amount she needed. That was all it took for me to hear what it was she had in her small mind. She said we were finished since I did not have what she wanted.

Do you feel it was because I used to give her what she wanted, and at that time she wanted that money I did not give her, that she said we were finished?

– David

Dear David,

I think you hit the nail right on the head. You don’t have to go anywhere to figure that out. She said she was finished after you could not give her the money she wanted.

Anytime a person has to pay for a friendship, it is too costly. Give yourself time to forget this second girl. It will be a lighter burden than a lifetime burdened with a woman who has no use for you when you are short of the amount of cash she wants.

There’s a saying be careful whom you fall in love with; some people are not looking for love, they are looking for welfare. So, be careful.

– CHRISTINE
