JONES ON THE SET

THERE IS STILL a bit of a child in Minister of Education Ronald Jones, whose stern voice is often heard echoing from platforms.

Jones was in a listening and learning mode when he toured  the schools’ exhibits at BMEX yesterday morning, and  the seldom seen lighter side of him came to the fore on several occasions.

Of the close to 20 displays mounted, it was at the Ellerton Primary School exhibit where Jones chose to get into character, as it were. The St George school depicted various ways Bajans can experience the joys of Christmas in recession times by using simple, inexpensive items.
