All out of rat poison

The Rodent problem in Barbados is being compounded because the Government has no stocks of rat poison available.

So widespread was the situation, said an official of the Ministry of Health, that they had received reports of rats being seen on the well-trafficked Richie Haynes Boardwalk in Hastings, Christ Church.

The revelation came as residents in the Christ Church districts of Navy Gardens, Marine Gardens and Nelson Road expressed concern about the number of rats and the increase of garbage in their neighbourhoods.
