Students get green message

THE PUPILS OF Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary School got a lesson in drainage and the environment yesterday.

It was part the activities for Environment Week and acting director of the Drainage Division, Antonio Rowe, explained the trip to the Pine, St Michael school was part of the activities for the week.

“We had decided that we would come to Wilkie Cumberbatch and Luther Thorne to try and sensitise the young people about not only the importance of water but how littering and illegal dumping can affect the drainage of the island and contribute to flooding.”
