STUDENTS AT COMBERMERE SCHOOL are expected back at their Waterford base on Monday, but the teachers might not be there with them.

Last week, Minister of Education Ronald Jones said all the environmental tests had been completed and the relevant clearance given for students and teachers to return school.

Industrial cleaning was being done on the entire campus in preparation for the return from the temporary sites at Erdiston Teachers’ Training College and the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic (SJPP)

But president of the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU), Mary Redman, told the SATURDAY SUN that if her members report for work at SJPP and the students are not there, they will be heading to the Ministry of Education instead.

Please read the full story in today’s Saturday Sun, or in the eNATION edition.
