THE EXPERIENCE TENT is working on putting Christ in calypso beyond the Crop Over festival.
Tent manager Errol Griffith said at the launch on Tuesday, held at Ball Park Events and Entertainment, that the Experience Tent was in discussion with churches and organisations to spread the word across the island and throughout the year.
“ . . . .Last year we had our first outreach with the church and we . . . thought it was phenomenal. We did it with Messiah House in Massiah Street, St John . . . We offered our music within the environs [of the church]. We are currently in discussion with a number of other churches to do similar things, where [Ball Park] would be our base and at the same time, we could move around from parish to parish and partner in various communities with churches and other organisations.”
