THE NATIONAL Union of Public Workers (NUPW) is threatening stepped up action this weekend on the behalf of junior doctors at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital if demands are not met.
Junior doctors charged yesterday that management of the Martindale’s Road institution was yet to address their concerns, including malfunctioning air conditioning units, a lack of proper ventilation and no hot water in their living quarters.
Union officials said the problems had been ongoing since last September.
