Biscette for Pan Am

IMPROVING BOXER Adrian Biscette is going to the Pan American Games next month.

He will be the lone Bajan boxer making the trip to Canada for the competition slated for July 7 to 26.

The light heavyweight lost to the champion in his division who had experience from the professional franchise set up by the sport’s governing body, the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and fights in the World Boxing Series (WBS).

Biscette was stopped in the first round of the contest but there is a ruling for the qualifiers that once a boxer wins his division, the opponent he beats in the first round of the draw will still qualify automatically for the Games, Ricardo Blackman was the other boxer who made the trials to Mexico but was beaten on points in his flyweight encounter.
