Kim is holder of road tennis crown

Kim Holder is the undisputed queen of road tennis in Barbados.

Mixing finesse with raw power, Holder retained the Touch of Class Freida Nicholls Road Tennis crown in front of a large crowd on Friday night at the Deighton “Pa” Road Centre in Bush Hall.

The Transport Board bus driver drove all over and around challenger Abigail Haynes 21-9, 21-12.  That sparked off murmurs about how Haynes was the last woman to defeat Holder on November 22, 2008.

Haynes did show some glimpses of her obvious talent but after a close 8-6 in the first game, Holder unleashed her power to destroy Haynes and silenced the camp which expected an upset.
