THE PRIVATE SECTOR is disappointed that Monday’s Budget was more about plugging financial holes than stimulating economic growth.
Barbados Private Sector Association chairman Alex McDonald said Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler took $200 million from taxpayers while only giving them $4 million.
“What we saw was the minister plugging holes. So he [Sinckler] very clearly said that there are a lot of things that are leaking from the Government’s hands and we needed to get these things plugged.”
