WORKERS at the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC) have been dealt another blow with 13 of their colleagues, all over 60 years of age, being given their walking papers yesterday to take effect September 30.
This severance comes on the heels of 15 other workers being sent home in March.
The action yesterday left a number of employees shocked and in a state of bewilderment, resulting in one of them collapsing and having to be transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance around 3:30 p.m.
