AN OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE from MVP Stephian Shepherd led Christ Church Foundation to the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Under-15 netball crown with a tough 22-18 victory over Springer Memorial at the Netball Stadium yesterday.
National Under-16 representative Shepherd moved from goal defence to goal shooter in the final two quarters after Springer had led 6-2, 10-7 and 15-14 in the first three quarters. Shepherd scored a perfect nine from nine while another junior national, captain Brianna Holder scored eight goals from 15 attempts and Chiara Chase added five from seven shots. Rashida Quintyne netted 14 of her 15 shots while Rashauna Thorne scored four from five for Springer.
Coleridge and Parry defeated 2014 champions Queen’s College 22-20 to take third place. (KB)
