Dear Christine,
I AM MARRIED with young children. My wife and I have the usual battles now and then, but on the whole, we get along fairly well.
My trouble is another girl. She is also married but we are drawing closer together. She is on my mind all the time and I am feeling guilty and a little afraid that I only have to ask and I can get it all.
I must be honest with you – I want it all, but I do not want to break up my marriage.
What should I do?
– W.C.
Dear W.C., Need you ask?
Put your tail between your legs and run real fast.
You are married and so is she. The temptation to have it all is actually the risk of losing it all.
Even a casual flirtation can lead to pain. Going the full nine yards can hurt you, her, your wife and family, and her husband and family.
Too much risk, won’t you say?
If you truly love your family, don’t risk losing them for the thrill of a few minutes every now and then. I am counting on your sense of fair play and your strength to do the right thing: refuse to pursue this attraction and resist the temptation.
Start courting your wife all over again. – CHRISTINE
