THE BARBADOS LABOUR Party will not be letting up on getting answers on the proposed $700 million plasma gasification plant in Vaucluse, St Thomas.

Leader of the Opposition Mia Mottley made that clear last night when she spoke at a community meeting in Content, St Thomas. That meeting was held to inform the residents of St Thomas and St James about the plant which Minister of the Environment Denis Lowe said during the Budget debate, means an end to landfills by 2025.

Among the questions she asked was when the documents on the Cahill Waste-to-Energy Plant would be made public because “it is no good hoping this will go away because as sure as night follows day this is on the front burner because the people of Barbados must know what has been committed to in its name.” (GBM)
