TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CHANGES will be put in place to facilitate the 2015 Crop Over Speightstown Market and Pan Around de Town which takes place on July 11.
On that date between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Queen Street from its junction with Major Walk to its junction with Mango Lane Road shall be closed to all vehicular traffic.
Church Street from its junction with Speightstown By-Pass Road to Eddies Supermarket shall be a two-way street.
During that time, no vehicles will be allowed to remain stationary and there will be no parking along the following roads except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers:
Patrons will be permitted to park at Mahaica playing field, Alexandra School playing field and the BTI carpark. Entry to this carpark will be from Upper Church Street.
All motorists, pedestrians, riders or leaders of animals using the roads specified shall exercise caution and shall comply with the directions given by a member of the police force. (PR/NB)
