Nurses Week starts with open day at polyclinic

BASIC HEALTH CHECKS and general health information were offered yesterday at polyclinics across the island as part of open day activities of Public Health Nurses Week.

Sister Hazel Forde  of the Eunice Gibson Polyclinic in Warrens said clients who passed through that clinic for any its services were able to obtain a variety of checks and then given counselling based on the results.

The screenings included body mass index, blood pressure and blood sugar checks. Diabetics were given guidance on care of their feet.
