BARBADOS FOLLOWED UP a great start to the 5th Caribbean Girls’ Youth Volleyball Championships with a straight sets win over Bonaire.
This morning in Curacao, Barbados beat Bonaire 25-11, 25-18, 25-17 to move to 2-0.
The Bajans had begun their campaign with a stunning 25-14, 25-9, 25-17 win over defending champions Trinidad & Tobago on Thursday night, while Curacao had squeezed out a victory over Bonaire 21-25, 25-19, 27-25, 18-25, 15-13.
The attacking duo of Ashley Jordan and Aaliyah Durant once again starred for Barbados in the second game.
In the first match, Jordan and Durant scored 17 and 14 points, respectively.
Barbados will play Curacao tonight to settle the playoff spots in tomorrow’s semi-finals. (KB)
