Cahill principals facing heat from residents

THE PRINCIPALS of Cahill Energy are currently under pressure from hundreds of residents attending an open house at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on the waste-to-energy project.

Murmurs of discontent and shouts of dissatisfaction could be clearly heard in response to the short presentations by the panel of experts representing the areas of engineering, environmental sciences and public health.

The stage was set when the organisers informed attendees they would only accept written questions, causing many to raise objection out of concern they would be censured.

Despite this, residents threw out questions during the presentations.

The organisers have had to continually ask for respect during the session. (WILLCOMM)
