Grandmum remanded for 2 days

A WEEPING GRANDMOTHER was unable to move the court to grant her bail yesterday, and she must spend two days on remand on a charge of hiding her two adult daughters.

Barbara Rosita Bayley, 49, of No. 8 Grazettes Court, St Michael, was not required to plead to the indictable charge of concealing Shakira and Tiffany Bayley in a wardrobe last Sunday, in an attempt to impede them from being prosecuted for an arrestable offence, namely aggravated burglary.

More than two months ago, police had publicly appealed to Tiffany Bianca Nakita Bayley, 26, and Shakira Krystal Bayley, 24, both of Corbin Road, Ashton Hall, St Peter, to turn themselves in at the nearest station. Police executed a search warrant at the residence and found the two allegedly hiding there.
