Too much hearsay and guesswork on Cahill

A NUMBER OF NEWS MEDIA have quoted a September 2015 start-up date for the Cahill Gasification project, yet recently I have been reading news items stating no Town & Country planning approval as yet.

There is too much hearsay and guessing connected with this project, with one Cabinet minister suggesting that it has not yet engaged his attention.

1) Has this project received the approval and blessings of the Cabinet?

2) Has an environmental impact study been done?

3) Have technocrats in ministries such as health, environment, finance, trade, industry and commerce, agriculture, water resources and so on had any discussions on the necessity and viability of this project?

Personally, I am getting confused as I am only reading about objections and nothing to convince that it is a necessity for a SIDS [Small Island Developing State] such as Barbados.

There is much unnecessary silence surrounding this Cahill plant.
