HEALING HERBS: It’s better to forgive

Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness. – Marianne Williamson

IT WAS A PLEASURE to have received forgiveness from those who thought I did them wrong. Last week I felt a sense of ease and joy as the forgiveness speeches were spoken by those who were willing to forgive.

Who would have thought that we have done anything that we should be forgiven for?

Well, we all have done things which are forgivable. However, I was saddened on Saturday when a lady who is very sick physically continues to refuse to forgive her sick husband because he did not support their daughter who is now 28 years old and is flourishing. We need to forgive and ease ourselves from sickness, mental stress and disease.

As promised through this column our dedicated journey towards targeted healing commences. I am still in the gym and devoted time to working out on the treadmill and the bicycle.

I spent an hour respectively on the treadmill and bicycle and concluded with sets of abdominals, leg presses and other related exercises. I am on a protein and vegetable routine. I am feeling more positive and my emotional state is hype.

My journey towards weight loss and keeping the body in tip-top shape is being made more advantageous through cleansing the body. I have several herbal formulas which I follow. My formulas are conscious based and I will now share two with you.

LIGHT CLEANSING/DETOX FORMULA

2 sticks celery

1 medium piece turmeric

1 small piece ginger

1 garlic pod

Pinch of cayenne pepper

2 cups 100 per cent pomegranate juice or boiled water

Method:

1. Wash and cut celery, turmeric and ginger.

2. Place all the ingredients in the blender and blend for five minutes.

3. Pour in a bottle and drink half cup as desired. This potion is for one day.

DEEP CLEANSING FORMULA

1 piece about (one inch) aloe vera.

½ tsp grated turmeric

½ tsp spice

½ tsp grated ginger

2 cups coconut water or your favourite 100 per cent natural juice.

Method:

1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender.

2. Blend for five minutes.

3. Place in a container and consume half cup as desired. This recipe is one person for 1 day.

Finally, I am also informing you that I am drinking soups, lots of water and herbal teas. Exercising, listening to meditative, sleep and soothing music are effective.

Next week the focus will be on healthy meals, herbal teas and “letting go”.
