BADMC’S Southern Farmers’ Market continues

THE PUBLIC is invited to support local farmers at the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation’s next Southern Farmers’ Market.

It will take place at the Fairy Valley Plantation House, next to the DHL Building, Christ Church, on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Patrons will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of products from Carmeta’s, fresh fruits and vegetables, a variety of meat and fish, fresh milk and eggs, plants and flowers, as well as other locally produced items such as wines, natural juices, jams, oils and tamarind balls. 

There will also be health checks by Pharma Wellness International, along with karaoke and music provided by a popular deejay.

Schools interested in participating in the Pine Hill Educational Programme and Market tour, and vendors who would like to take part in the market, are asked to contact Ann Griffith at 428-0250, by Thursday, August 27. (BGIS)
